Welcome to the schedule for Katsucon 19 in 2013!

Katsucon is an annual 3-day fan convention held in the D.C. metro area for multicultural enthusiasts and entertainment. Katsucon is produced by Katsucon Entertainment, Inc. (KEI), a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization dedicated to bringing information about Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture to fans everywhere.

Cosplayer Nation

Cosplayer Nation is a globtrotting documentary that filmed across the US. Joshua Adams who is an internet radio DJ on Cyberstationusa.com and filmmaker Uke Li, collaborated to make a documentary on the lives of cosplayers across America. In December 2010, the journey began at a cosplay ice skating event in Boston. Since then, these men have crusaded from Puerto Rico to Hawaii and 20+ conventions, including Katsucon 18, capturing the “how” and “why” of cosplayers. Their videos range from professionals like Meagan Marie & Tanya Tate to Project Runway’s Malan Breton, and perhaps one of your friends Their work has gained the fandom of 3800+ fans on Facebook [Cosplay Nation] and 1600+ subscribers on YouTube [CosplayerNationTV]. Previously, Mr. Adams and Mr. Li have been guests at SoDak Con in South Dakota and Tokyo in Tulsa in Oklahoma. And they are honored to show Katsucon 19 what Cosplayer Nation is all about, behind the Men, The Myths, and The Legends.We are pleased to announce that Katsucon’s own Grig Larson was recently interviewed by Cosplayer Nation!
