Welcome to the schedule for Katsucon 19 in 2013!
Katsucon is an annual 3-day fan convention held in the D.C. metro area for multicultural enthusiasts and entertainment. Katsucon is produced by Katsucon Entertainment, Inc. (KEI), a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization dedicated to bringing information about Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture to fans everywhere.
From the days of BETA cassettes, to the era of bootleg VHS tapes, to DVDs, Blu-ray and digital downloading, these advances have shaped our otaku lifestyles. But have these and other changes in technology and our convention culture caused significant generation gaps between today’s otaku and their predecessors? From the people that brought you the “Anime Rant”, we give you “Otaku Generations”! Your otaku generation is determined by the year you became interested in Japanese manga/anime. We have done the dirty work to classify these generations and the differences between them. Come on by and find out where YOU classify!
